Why do I practice yoga?

Not to get the “perfect” pose. Not to touch my toes or stand on my head.

I practice yoga to feel.

To feel how my body is doing today — not how I wish it was, but how it actually is.To notice what’s tight, what’s tired, what feels soft, strong, or tender. To listen, rather than push.

I practice yoga to reconnect with myself when the world feels noisy. To come home to my body when my mind has been racing all day.To soften the edges of stress, and make space for breath, for kindness, for stillness.

For me, it’s never been about the shape of the pose. It’s about the experience inside the shape.

Some days I move, some days I rest. Some days I feel strong, some days I feel fragile. But every day I practice, I learn to meet myself just as I am.

And that is enough. 🌿
